    The museum is open Monday-Saturday from 9am-5pm and Sunday from 9am-1pm.

  • Schoolcraft's Independence Day Celebration

    Schoolcraft has one of the biggest parades in southwest Michigan, and a fun-filled day of activities for both young and old, with a fireworks display at dusk.

  • Holland's Fireworks

    Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant has front row seats for the 4th of July fireworks at Kollen Park! Patio tables for up to 6 people are available for $50.00 per table. 8-foot by 8-foot lawn squares are available for $25.00 per square. There will be grilled brats, hot dogs, and burgers available from 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Reservations required.

     

  • Cascade Fourth of July Celebration

    Fireworks take place at dusk July 3rd at 7590 E Fulton across from Amway. On Saturday, check out the library book sale, catch the parade at 10:30 a.m. or play carnival games at the street fair. Free admission.

  • Ludington's Freedom Festival

    07/03/2009-07/04/2009

    The fun begins July 3rd around 6:30pm with the Children's and Pet Parade in downtown Ludington.  The big Freedom Festival Parade gets underway at 1pm on July 4th, and features floats, bands, politicians, local residents, and of course, the Scottville Clown Band.  Fireworks will take place at 10:30pm and can be viewed from Stearns Park on Lakeshore Drive or any of the beaches.   

  • St. Joseph Fireworks

    The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra accompanies the St. Joseph fireworks at the Shadowland Pavilion in St. Joseph, along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The July 4th concert begins at 9pm, fireworks at 10:45pm. Tickets are $20 adults, $5 students in advance, $25/$10 at the gate. Advance tickets available at area Martin’s, Roger’s Foodland, Gallery on the Alley in St. Joseph and Solid Grounds Café in Benton Harbor. Call 269-982-4030 or online at www.smso.org

  • In Plane View at The Kalamazoo Air Zoo

    "In Plane View," an exhibition of 56 large-format photographs by Carolyn Russo, showcases the aesthetic quality of some of the National Air and Space Museum's iconic aircraft. With up-close facets, sculptural forms and life-like elements, "In Plane View" at the Air Zoo directs viewers' attention to the often-overlooked simple elegance of aircraft design. Russo exposes the bold colors, textures, shapes and patterns that characterize diverse flying machines and, with her lens, transforms technology into art.

     

  • Waldo Wrights Flights at the Air Zoo

    This summer, the Air Zoo will be offering flights-courtesy of Waldo Wright's Flying Service-in both a rare 1929 New Standard D-25 biplane and a PT-17 Boeing Stearman-a World War II primary trainer biplane.

    Advance gift certificates for these flights, which will be flown from June 11 through September 8, are available for purchase.

  • Richland's Fourth of July Celebration

    The Richland Area Business Association sponsors the annual Fourth of July Parade at 11 a.m. Saturday. Participation in the parade is first-come, first-served, with lineup beginning at 10 a.m. at the new Gull Lake Middle School. After the parade a Lions Club chicken barbecue and family activities are planned in Village Square Park.

  • Saugatuck's Fourth of July Celebration

    The annual Fourth of July Celebration will be Saturday in downtown Saugatuck. Events include a parade at 2 p.m., music in Cook Park at 7 p.m. and fireworks at dusk over the harbor downtown.

    The Gilmore Car Museum will be showcasing 24 vehicles from some of the most iconic names in drag racing history, including “Big Daddy” Don Garlits, Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick, Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, Gas Ronda, and "The Michigan Madman” E. J. Potter, to name a few. Assembled together will be Funny Cars, Rails, Pro Stock, Gassers, and many more from all eras.

  • Fourth of July Celebration at Jungle Joe's 09:00 am - 02:00 pm

    Jungle Joe's is hosting a Fourth of July party!  Bring in 3 and get the 4th free.  For every third child admission of $8, receive the fourth free.  Wear American Flag attire and get $2 off your $8 admission.  There will be an American Flag hunt at 11:30am.
